Our founder, Hal Boyles, has been part of the 2002 community for decades—long before these classics were considered collectible.
His journey began as a Parts Manager at Simpson Motorsport in Iowa City, where he quickly learned that “NLA” doesn’t stand for “Not in Los Angeles.”
Hal also had the pleasure of working for Terry Sayther at Phoenix Motorworks in Austin, TX. Working with Terry was great fun and always exciting as he is a true world/life adventurer and a renowned BMW guru.
